Metrowater plans interconnection work

CHENNAI: Chennai Metrowater proposes to take up interconnection work of the shifted water main near the Government Stanley Hospital with the water main at the junction of M.C.Road and Cemetery Road on Thursday.

As a result, there would be no piped water supply on Thursday for residents in divisions 14 to 22 in Area II, Divisions 9, 12, 13 and part of divisions 4 to 11 in Area I falling under places such as Royapuram, Old Washermenpet and Tondiarpet.

The water main on M.C. Road was shifted in view of the proposed construction of a subway near the Government Stanley Hospital, according to a press release.
