Kannada organisations to hold dharna on Friday

BANGALORE: Pro-Kannada organisations, led by the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, will stage a dharna on January 11 to protest against the rules for recruitment for Group “D” posts in the South Western Railway. These rules do not favour Kannadigas and are biased towards people from other parts of the country, the organisations alleged.

At a discussion held on Tuesday by the parishat to chart out plans to sustain the protest movement that began five days ago across the State, noted critic L.S. Seshagiri Rao said that a legal recourse should be explored in the next two days for any possible relief.
