St. Mary’s leads in schools fete

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Pattom, is leading with 86 points on the second day of the Thiruvanathapuram District Higher Secondary Schools Youth Festival being held at Neyyattinkara on Tuesday. While the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Neyyattinkara, is at the second position with 66 points, the third place was shared by Government Cotton Hill Girls Higher Secondary School (65) and St. Johns Model Higher Secondary School (65). From a total of 93 events, 54 events were completed by the end of the second day. However there were no participants for Kathakali (group) and Koodiyattom. The second day also witnessed a total of 16 appeals from the contestants. Some of the main items of the day included group dance, Kolkali, classical music, elocution, Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattom.
