Two constables injured in accident

NEW DELHI: In a hit-and-run case, two police constables sustained injuries when a speeding Maruti car hit them at Mayur Vihar Phase-I here on Monday night. The constables have been admitted to a nearby hospital. The accident took place around 12-45 a.m. when the constables, Ramesh Chand (40) and Ravi Dutt (40) deployed at a picket near a temple, waved at a white Maruti car to stop. But the driver hit them and sped away. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital where one was diagnosed with a fracture in a leg, while the other had head injuries.
