Murder mystery unravelled

HYDERABAD: It was a Satyamma’s paramour and his cousin who raped and murdered her by slitting her throat on December 11 at Pupppalaguda on the city outskirts, the police said on Tuesday.

The prime accused, Narsimha, and his cousin, Santosh, were arrested and remanded to judicial custody, Rajendranagar ACP M. Mahipal Reddy told a press conference. The victimwas married to Yellaiah four years ago but deserted him soon after. She returned to her parents’ house and later allegedly developed intimacy with Narsimha who was already married and had four children.

Narsimha began suspecting that Satyamma had entered into relationships with some others and decided to eliminate her.
