Man shot dead in gang war in Patna

PATNA: A gang war in a State government office complex here on Tuesday claimed a life.

A reported dispute over contracts led to an altercation following which Sanjay Singh was allegedly shot dead by four persons on the campus of the Rural Engineering Organisation (REO) office.

Sanjay’s brother Arvind Singh alleged that his relative and JD (U) MLA, Anant Singh, conspired in the murder. Anant Singh has been named in the First Information Report.

The victim and Arvind Singh are brothers of Viveka Pehalwan, who has troubled relations with Anant Singh.

The rivalry had claimed several lives in Ladma village and its vicinity under Barh sub-division. Anant Singh himself was injured in one such clash, but he recovered.
