Actor Manorama to be felicitated on Pongal day

Chennai: To celebrate her golden jubilee year in the industry, Kollywood is gearing up to felicitate the renowned actor by organising a mega function on Pongal day – January 15.

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will preside over the function, which will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam. Both ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are expected to participate in the function.

The felicitation function will feature songs and dances by actors. Stars, including actors Namitha, Priya Mani, Nila, Sandiya, Sangeetha and Thejashree, will dance to popular numbers played by Sadhagapparavaigal orchestra. And, in a fitting felicitation to the celebrated comedienne, popular comedians will stage short comic skits. Directors K. Balachander, Bharathiraja and others will also participate in the function. The event is being organised by Kalingar TV and Klassik Kreators.
