Arrive at wage pact

VISAKHAPATNAM: All the unions of Chittivalasa Jute Mill have agreed to honour the 12 (3) settlement arrived between the management and the recognised union, according to a statement issued by Deputy Commissioner of Labour M.N. Varahala Reddy. A meeting was held with representatives of management and unions, on the issues pertaining to the apprentices of 2005, before the Commissioner of Labour in Hyderabad on Wednesday. An understanding was arrived at after discussions. The Commissioner of Labour assured that the management would increase Rs. 2 over and above Rs.130 to be paid as wages to New Badilies-A category in addition to increased DA with effect from August 2007. The management would be convinced to take back all the dismissed apprentices who report for duty on or before January 31. Regarding wages for New Badilies-B category, the Commissioner assured that an increase of Rs.10 over and above Rs.105 will be paid at the time of making them Badili-B.
