Pirated VCDs seized

HUGE HAUL: The pirated VCDs seized from a house in Mysore on Wednesday.

MYSORE: Pirated VCDs and DVDs of films and film songs worth Rs. 2.5 lakh were seized during a raid at a house on Veene Sheshanna Road in Krishnaraja police station limits here on Wednesday.

The police arrested one Chikkautappa in this connection. Police said said one Madhu and his associates had been producing and selling pirated CDs, VCDs and DVDs.

They had a multi-recording system which could copy nine discs simultaneously from the master disc. Apart from discs, labels of films, covers and a computer were recovered, they said.

The police are on the lookout of Madhu. A case has been registered.
