HASSAN: The H.D. Deve Gowda versus Ravi Belagere case took a dramatic turn on Wednesday with H.K. Javare Gowda, counsel for the former Prime Minister filing two applications against Mr. Belagere who has produced “Mukhya Manthri I Love You”, in the Chief Judicial Magistrate and Senior Division Civil Court. Both the cases will come up for hearing on Thursday. Mr. Javare Gowda giving details to The Hindu said that the applications had been filed against Mr. Belagere for wilfully disobeying the order of the court. On December 18, the court granted a temporary injunction order against Mr. Belagere and restrained him from making direct, indirect, ironical, derogatory, scandalous references or remarks against the plaintiff Mr. Deve Gowda or any member of his family. It had restrained Mr. Belagere from depicting any character in his film resembling or capable of being identified as the plaintiff and his family members pending disposal of this suit. The court also restrained by an order of temporary injunction from releasing, exhibiting, showing, publishing any photographs, video clippings of the plaintiff or his family members during his press releases, interviews in the course of promoting his film. Despite these orders, Mr. Javare Gowda said, Mr. Belagere had in his article in “Hai Bangalore”, which is edited and published by him, made a direct allegation against Mr. Deve Gowda quoting the case and hence the application to seek the detention of Mr. Belagere for three months for violating court orders had been filed. Mr. Javare Gowda said that the other application had been filed seeking the production of the film script in court. During the last hearing, the court directed counsel for Mr. Belagere to file objections by January 10.
