CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to enhance by 30 per cent the fixed rate of honorarium for guest teachers engaged on guest faculty basis in government schools effective from January 1, 2008, Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta announced here on Wednesday. The additional financial burden on the State exchequer would be Rs.3 crore per month in addition to Rs.12 crore being already borne by the Government on providing honorarium to these teachers. Mr. Gupta said the Government was committed to providing better facilities to teachers.
