Visakhapatnam
VISAKHAPATNAM: A four-member team of the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad, will assess the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) from Thursday to Saturday for the Prime Minister’s trophy for the “best integrated steel plant” for 2006-07. The team members – Raj V. Ponnaluri, S.K. Ghosh, J.C. Aylawadi and Rajat Madhur, would assess the performance, processes and efficiency of operation, productivity of blast furnace, steel furnace and labour, and customer satisfaction and improvements brought in over 2005-06 by VSP. The team would visit the places of peripheral development and CSR activities and areas of upstream and down stream units. The VSP had already won the PM’s trophies for 2004-05 and 2005-06.
