Delhi court summons Husain

NEW DELHI: A city court has summoned painter M.F. Husain to appear before it on March 29 in connection with a case against him. The complainant alleged that the painter hurt the sentiments of the people by painting nude pictures of Bharat Mata and Hindu goddesses.
In a recent order, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate A.K. Kuhar asked Mr. Husain to be present in the court and expressed his displeasure over the tardy probe by the investigating agency.
The complainant alleged that the investigations were being deliberately delayed.
Mr. Husain has been living out of the country on a self-imposed exile. All cases against him have been brought within the jurisdiction of the Patiala House courts on the orders of the Supreme Court.
