Town SC qualifies

Mysore: Town Sports Club (Bannur) and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation FC (Mysore) were involved in a 1-1 draw in the MDFA ‘B’ division Group ‘B’ league football match here on Wednesday.

Town SC, with 11 points (three wins, two draws) topped Group ‘B’ and qualified for the semifinal super league.

Syed Atmique scored off a melee inside the box in the 43rd minute for Town SC, while Chang equalised in the 44th minute for KSRTC.

Railway Institute (VV) and KSRTC were tied with 10 points from five games, but the formers better goal average helped it qualify for the semifinal super league.
