Raja Rao ONGOLE: Police arrested a youth here on Wednesday after he allegedly sneaked into a girls’ hostel in the wee hours and created a flutter. According to police, Kuchipudi Raja Rao (22), a fruitseller, was in the habit of peeping at women bathing or sleeping. He got drunk on Tuesday night and gained entry into the girls hostel of Umamaheswara Junior College located on Mangamuru road after midnight. Some girls who noticed him lurking in the corridor raised an alarm. He brandished a knife when the watchman and others rushed to nab him. The principal alerted the police, who rushed to the place and took him into custody. As a precautionary measure, they kept him in the station chained to prevent him from injuring himself in desperation. He will be charged for outraging modesty of women, threatening and trespass. Meanwhile, in a similar case that took place in 2006, the accused got five years imprisonment. One Eedupalli Venkata Ramana (35)gained entry into a residential school for blind children located in Bandlamitta here on November 18, 2006 and raped a five-year-old girl.
