An error

A Special Correspondent's report, titled "Devote some time to suffering India" published in The Hindu of January 4, 2008, referred to Dr. M. S. Swaminathan as "father of the Green Revolution."

It is well recognised around the world that the title is held by Nobel Laureate Dr. Norman Borlaug, who is presently attached to the Texas A&M University. I regret that I am obliged to bring up this error made by the correspondent of your newspaper
