Camp of tourism clubs at Neyyar

THIRUVANANTHAURAM: A district-level camp of tourism clubs in colleges, higher secondary schools and vocational higher secondary schools that have registered with the District Tourism Promotion Council will be held at the Neyyar dam near Thiruvananthapuram on January 17 and 18.

According to a press note issued here the teacher-coordinator and the student-coordinator of the tourism club concerned, students from institutions who have won first prizes in Malayalam elocution, quiz and painting competitions and three students who are proficient in presenting cultural programmes can be part of the team that represents that institution at the camp. There will be separate quiz competitions at the college and higher secondary levels.

Tourism clubs that held unit-level competitions should send the list of winners to the DTPC office at Vellayambalam before January 14. Further information can be had from the DTPC office on phone 0471-2315397.
