Sada, who shot into fame with the 2005 Tamil blockbuster ‘Anniyan’, was the centre of attraction at Malabar Christian College in Kozhikode on Thursday. The actor was in the city to promote ‘Novel,’ in which she makes her debut in Malayalam. Sada was accompanied by some of her co-stars and director East Coast Vijayan. The film’s hero, Jayaram, wasn’t there though. At the function, attended by a good number of students, mostly girls, songs from the film, which opens in cinemas on Friday, were rendered by a crop of young singers. Among the songs was the melodious “Onninumallathe…” which was originally used in an album brought out by East Coast Audio. Sada said she had a great time shooting for ‘Novel.’ “It was a lovely experience,” she said. “I enjoyed doing every scene of the film.” Vijayan, who is making his debut as a director, said youngsters would like the film. “Though it’s not a campus story, the youth will enjoy it,” he said.
