United we stand: TRS activists at a protest on National Highway 9 in Sangareddy against proposed second SRC for Telangana. Sangareddy: Bharatiya Janata Party floor leader in State Assembly Kishen Reddy said that Telangana Rastra Samiti could never get Telangana even if it wins all the seats in the region, and that only a national political party like BJP could deliver Telangana. He was addressing a press conference here on Thursday on the sidelines of a constituency-level cadre meet here today. Answering a question on BJP’s earlier promise of one vote and two States, he said that this time the NDA would have alliance with only parties that agree for separate statehood to Telangana. He said that formation of Telangana has nothing to do with second State Reorganisation Commission as the issue has been pending before the nation from many decades. However he wanted to know from the Congress when the second SRC would submit its report and who would be its members. He alleged that the Congress has raked up the SRC issue only to confuse the people of Telangana. Launching the signature campaign in support of Telangana, Kishan Reddy told party workers that the party needs the support of people from the State to form its government at the centre due to its sheer size and political awareness of the people. Former legislator K. Satyanarayana and BJP Dalit Morcha State secretary Jagan were also present. Rasta rokoMeanwhile, TRS Member of Legislative Council R. Satyanarayana and district president M. Raghunandan Rao organised a rasta roko on National Highway 9. Mahabubnagar Staff Reporter says: Protesting the move to constitute a second SRC by the centre, the activists of BJP burnt on effigy of Congress at Ambedkar cross roads here on Thursday. Addressing the gathering, BJP state executive committee member N. Rajeshwara Reddy said that the proposal to constitute second SRC was nothing but to deceive the people of Telangana. Town BJP president P. Rajendar Reddy, party leaders Anjaiah, Krishna Mohan Reddy, BJYM district president Gaddam Gopal and others led the demonstration. Similar protest was also organised by the members of TRS on Thursday. The TRS workers led by district secretary Bekkam Janardhan and others burnt the effigy of Congress near Collectorate. They criticised the Congress party for its tactics of dillydallying in regard to separate Telangana. Karimnagar Staff Reporter says: The BJP Karimnagar district unit leaders have staged a massive dharna and set fire to an effigy belonging to the second SRC in front of Collectorate here on Thursday in protest against the constitution of second SRC for the formation of Telangana state. BJP Kisan Morcha State president P. Sugunakar Rao, district BJP secretary B Jaganmohan Rao, town president D Sridhar, Mahila Morcha district president G Padma and others participated in the dharna and flayed the Congress party for deceiving the people after being elected on Telangana statehood issue. Mr Sugunakar Rao said that the first SRC had already recommended the formation of Hyderabad State and where was need for constituting second SRC. He reminded that the NDA government had given three new States without SRC recommendations. Adilabad Staff Reporter says: Telangana Rashtra Samiti activists on Thursday staged a rasta roko on the NH 7 at Dasnapur bridge that disrupted flow of traffic for about 20 minutes. They were protesting against the second States Reorganisation Commission.
