NEW DELHI: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) organised a vendors’ meet here to familiarise prospective contractors with a new tool to fight corruption in procurement activities in government departments and public sector undertakings. Speaking on the occasion, AAI Chairman K. Ramalingam said: “In the near future the quantum of various works being carried out at different airports will increase. AAI is very eager to implement such infrastructure works in a corruption-free atmosphere. Implementation of the Integrity Pact will help in this regard”. Giving a detailed presentation on “Integrity Pact”, AAI Chief Vigilance Officer D.S. Mishra said: “A memorandum of understanding will soon be signed between the Authority and Transparency International India after which every bid and contract in AAI with value beyond the specified limit will come under the purview of the Integrity Pact.”
