Bid to supply quality inputs to the farmers

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Agriculture Department has launched a campaign to ensure supply of quality inputs to the farmers, Director Agriculture Sumita Misra said here on Thursday.

She disclosed that the enforcement staff had been asked to monitor the quality of agriculture inputs, especially the weedicides. They had also been directed to take sufficient samples of various weedicides being sold in the State. The companies whose products had damaged the wheat crop in the last rabi season would be specifically targeted, she added.

She urged the farmers to buy good quality products and obtain receipt or bill containing information like the name of the purchaser, village name, date, batch number, cost of the product and manufacturing and expiry date.
