Nagamarapalli’s son, grandson laid to rest

BIDAR: Nagaraj and Kailash, son and grandson of the former Minister Gurupadappa Nagamarapalli were buried at Chintaki village of Aurad taluk of the district on Thursday.

Nagaraj and Kailash died in a road accident near Dindigul of Tamil Nadu in the early hours of Wednesday while they were returning to Bangalore from Madurai.

Their bodies were flown to Bidar by a special flight from Madurai on Wednesday night and were taken to Chintaki village, for performing last rites. The bodies were taken in a procession in Chintaki village, where hundreds of villagers mourned their death.

The burial took place at a farmhouse belonging to Mr. Nagamarapalli.

The former Minister Bandeppa Kashempur, Member of Parliament Narsinghrao Suryavanshi, the former Minister Basavraj Patil Humnabad, zilla panchayat president Jayasheela Reddy, Congress leader Ishwar Khandre, MLCs Arashed Ali and Ratna Kushnoor and other leaders paid their last respects to the deceased.
