HASSAN: Secretary to Women and Child Development Shalini Rajaneesh, who inaugurated Sishu Palana Kendra on Chaitanya Mandira premises here on Thursday, advised parents to follow rules while adopting children as otherwise it would become a punishable offence. She also advised organisations that run Sishu Palana Kendras to adhere to the rules while putting up children for adoption. This would help in checking child trafficking. “Go Samrakshana and Palana” unit was launched on the occasion, for which Ramachandrapura Math donated 10 cows. Seer Raghaveswara Bharathi Mahaswamiji; Muthhatti Rajanna, vice-president of Chaitnya Mandira; its treasurer Nirvanaiah; directors, B.C. Ravi Kumar, K. Chandrashekhar, A.R. Narayan, Indira Murthy, B.M. Swarnalatha, K.S. Geetha and Gowramma were present at the occasion.
