PUDUCHERRY: Education Minister M.O.H.F. Shahjahan on Thursday assured students, who were admitted to Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC) through CENTAC, that the government would take the responsibility of paying their tuition fees. Recalling the assurance given by the government on the floor of the Assembly, he said in a statement here, that a Government Order would be issued shortly. Earlier, the Principal of PEC had issued a circular to the first and second year students admitted through CENTAC asking them to pay the tuition fees.
