HYDERABAD: 7Seas Technologies Limited, a Hyderabad-based gaming company, has acquired neodelight.com, the gaming division of German-based Neokolor GBR. Announcing this, 7Seas Technologies Managing Director, L. Maruti Sankar, said the company would utilise the game engine technology of Neodelight for faster and cost-effective development of new games. Neodelight’s games were now available on more than 500 gaming sites and the brand had more than three million views every month. 7Seas raised the amount required for the acquisition through private placement, but the details of the transaction could not be made public as Neodelight was a privately held company. On the future plans, he said the company planned to invest about $10 million in future for developing the infrastructure, including an animation studio for developing the content. Neodelight Managing Partner, Ulrich Tausend, said the acquisition comes in the light of professionalising the gaming market and it would help in scaling up production to keep pace with the emerging market.
