Punjab in control

HYDERABAD: Punjab wrested the initiative on the third day of the all India Cooch Behar Trophy cricket tournament final against Baroda at the Visakha-Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Thursday. After restricting Baroda’s second innings to 174, Punjab, requiring 192 runs for victory, was 97 without loss.

The scores: Baroda 215 & 174 (Swanil Singh 58, Anupam Gupta 37; Rajwinder Golu seven for 48) v Punjab 101 & 97 for no loss (Kunwar Raina 48, Perri Goel 42).
