Someshwar Cricketers in finals

MANGALORE: Someshwar Cricketers (Ullal) scored a one-wicket win over Canara Youth Council in a KSCA Mangalore Zone second division cricket semifinal here on Thursday. It will take on City Cricketers in the final on January 15.

The scores: Canara Youth Council 207 in 44.1 overs lost to Someshwar Cricketers 208 for nine in 39.2 overs(Sameer 67, Naushad 40).

Shivakumar wins

H.B. Shivakumar of Hassan Division bagged the individual title in the KSRTC inter-divisional athletic championship held in Bangalore on Thursday.

Hassan division also emerged as the team champion. Asha clinched the women’s 100m.

The results (winners only): Men: 100m: Dilip Kumar (Mys); 400m: H.B. Shivakumar (Has); 1500m: H.B. Shivakumar; High jump: Dilip Kumar; Shot put: Lokesh Raj (Ckm).

Women: 100m: T.G. Asha (Mys.U); 800m: T.G. Asha; Discus throw: Godavari (Mlr); High jump: T.G. Asha.
