Mumbai: The Air-India-sponsored all-India PSU cricket tournament (40 overs) will be held here from January 11 to 17. Eight PSU teams will vie for the Air-India Cup, while another 11 teams will play for the Air-India Plate Cup. V. Thulsidas, CMD, National Aviation Company of India, said here at a press conference that Air-India has always promoted sports and that it’s happy note that more than half the players in the Indian team are employed with Air-India. “After the merger of Air-India and Indian Airlines, we have a strong team in cricket, football, Hockey and many other sports.” The Plate final will be played on January 15 and the Air-India Cup final on January 17.
