Controversy over re-appointment

There has always been a clash of ‘egos’ and a tense undercurrent among professors working in various government teaching hospitals.

A case in point is the recent fracas over the re-appointment of Dr. B. Balraju as Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital.

The incident has made it quite clear that nobody, at least among the government doctors’, wants a go-getter. Finally, Dr. Balraju’s efficiency in administration and also his knack to control quarrelsome doctors seems to have acted against him. His admirers, the numbers of which are aplenty, believe that his ‘positive’ outlook had rubbed several of his colleagues in the wrong way.
