Plea to extend MMTS, Metro till Moula Ali

HYDERABAD: A delegation of the Federation of Residents’ Welfare Associations of Moula Ali met Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd (HMR) Managing Director N.V.S. Reddy and requested the proposed Metro rail to be extended till Moula Ali.

They also sought extension of MMTS trains to Moula Ali and introduction of MMTS services on the Moula Ali-Sanatnagar bypass railway line.

Mr. Reddy has informed them that extension of the proposed Metro rail lines to Moula Ali will be considered in phase-II of the project.

Discussions will be held with the railway and the defence authorities for necessary permission and land requirements. The Government had also sent proposals to the Railway Board for MMTS phase-II, which includes Moula Ali-Sanatnagar bypass railway line, he informed them.
