Suresh Reddy to inaugurate Nandi Natakotsavams

Rajahmundry: The Nandi Natakotsavams will be held at the renovated Anam Kala Kendram from January 18 to 24.
Assembly Speaker K. Suresh Reddy will inaugurate the event. Governor N.D. Tiwari will participate in the valedictory and even distribute prizes.
At a meeting here on Thursday with corporators and officials, Minister for Excise and Prohibition J. Rammohana Rao said that they had constituted nine sub-committees with corporators as members.
For renovation of the venue and conduct of the six-day event, he said that the Film Development Corporation contributed Rs.15 lakhs. Some Rs. 20 lakhs was sourced from MPLADS and Rs.10 lakhs from MLA funds.
The municipal corporation, Zilla Parishad and the panchayat contributed Rs.10 lakhs, Rs.5 lakhs and Rs. 5 lakhs respectively.
The names of donors who contributed more that Rs. 1 lakh would be displayed on the plaque in the auditorium, he added.
MLC Kandula Durgesh said that the expenditure being incurred for renovation would be kept open for public scrutiny.
Legislator R. Suryaprakasha Rao asked the corporators to make the event a success.
