Rice seized

CHENNAI: During surprise raids on Chennai–Tirutani EMU services on Wednesday, railway police, Arakkonam, seized three tonnes of rice.

According to an official release, the rice bags were found on Tirutani platform. Three persons were remanded to 15 days custody. The raids were conducted at the instruction of Inspector General of Railway Police Sanjay Arora, the release added.
