Actor Pandian dead

MADURAI: Actor Pandian, had acted in more than 75 movies, died of liver failure at a hospital here on Thursday. The 47-year-old actor, who resided in Madurai, was suffering from liver cirrhosis and was being treated for hepatitis infection. He was on ventilator for the past two days and his health deteriorated in the morning, doctors said.

Pandian was introduced by director Bharathiraja in ‘Manvaasanai’.

He had also acted in ‘Puthumai Penn’, ‘Vazhkai’, ‘Aan Pavam’ and ‘Manukketha Ponnu’.

He is survived by wife and son. — Staff Reporter
