BHUBANESWAR: There is an urgency to preserve and promote our rich regional literatures and languages in view of the threats of globalisation. Prominent writers and litterateurs of the State had this unanimous opinion during the just concluded silver jubilee celebration of the District Writers’ Forum at Bolangir that includes the newly-formed Sonepur district. At the Koshak Kala Mandal premises at Bolangir town, writers from all over the State gathered for a two-day meet that followed the ongoing week-long book fair to mark the special occasion. While veteran writer and scholar Narayan Pruseth inaugurated the meet, noted columnist professor Biswaranjan delivered a key-note address at the inaugural session, chaired by Sasi Bhusan Purohit.
