Saibaba opens sports meet

Puttaparthi: The annual sports and cultural meet of Sri Satya Sai University was off to a colourful start in the hill-view stadium here on Friday.

Satya Saibaba inaugurated the meet by lighting a sports torch and releasing pigeons. He also a hoisted university flag with the help of remote control device, to mark the beginning of the event.

Seated in a open-top car Satya Saibaba was led into the stadium by a motorcycle cavalcade.

The students from Brindavan campus led the procession on horses followed by brass band and march past by students.
