Drawing fest on January 13

BANGALORE: Bangalore Drawing Fest, a drawing competition for schoolchildren, will be held on January 13 at Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park.
Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, general secretary of Well Being Foundation and Research Centre Bharathi E. said that the foundation had organised the competition to collect funds for its “Book Bank Scheme.”
Under the scheme, the foundation has been providing textbooks for poor students of Pre-University course and undergraduates.
Skills
“We work towards providing a platform to children and youth to exhibit their skills and talents in their respective fields and progress in it,” she said.
The drawing competition will be held between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
Groups
It would be conducted for three groups — Buds, Blossoms, and Flora, she added. Children up to six years would be included in the Buds group, those aged between seven and 12 years in Blossoms while students aged between 13 and 16 years would be included in the Flora group, she said.
Entry fee
The entry fee for the competition is Rs. 20. Fee will not be charged for students who are physically and mentally challenged.
