BMS to hold national meet from April 5

KORAPUT: Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) will organise its 15th national convention in the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium at Cuttack from April 5, according to Janardhan Debata, State secretary of the organisation.

Speaking to the media at Sunabeda on Friday, he said the three-day long convention would be inaugurated by former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik gave his consent to grace the occasion.

Girish Agasthi, national president of BMS, would preside over the meeting while more than 5,000 delegates from all over the country along with leaders from international labour organisations were likely to attend it. He was at Sunabeda along with a special delegation.
