Bank strike

KORAPUT: All the branches of Utkal Gramya Bank in Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nowrangpur districts remained closed for the last two days in response to the strike call given by the Regional Rural Bank Joint Forum.

The forum has given the strike call demanding banking pension settlement, parity with sponsor bank in payment of allowances, compensation employment and uniform manpower planning, according to bank sources.
