TRS cadres gherao MP

Sangareddy: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi organised ‘rasta rokos’ on major highways and held protest rallies in all major towns of Medak district on Friday opposing the proposed formation of the Second State Reorganisation Commission for Telangana.

Legislative Council Member R.Satyanarayana organised a ‘shava yatra’ of the Congress from the local inspection bungalow to the District Collectorate. Later, the effigy of the Congress was burnt amid slogans against AICC general secretary Veerappa Moily.

Rajya Sabha Member Nandi Yellaiah was gheraoed by TRS activists in Gudikandula of Thoguta mandal while he was attending a government programme there. The activists asked him to resign in protest against the proposed second SRC. In Gajwel and Pragnapur, TRS leaders organised a rasta roko on the Rajiv Rahadari for almost an hour. In Siddipet and Medak the activists burnt the effigies of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Similar protests were held in mandal headquarters elsewhere in the district on Friday.
