ANANTAPUR: The police seized a mini-lorry laden with the red sanders near Jakkalacheruvu village of Yadiki mandal in the district on Friday. The police initially tried to stop the vehicle at Rayalacheruvu but the driver sped away. The police chased the vehicle and confiscated the lorry and handed over the timber to the Gooty range officials of the forest department. -Staff Reporter
