Protest against erratic water supply

ATTUR: More than 100 residents of Nagiyampatti and its surrounding areas staged a demonstration in front of Thammampatti town panchayat office here on Thursday in protest against erratic supply of drinking water.

They claimed that the local body had not initiated any steps to provide adequate supply of water. As a result, residents were forced to fetch water from the irrigation wells.

They urged the local body to take steps to sort out the problem.
