CITU demand

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) State secretariat has urged the Union government to settle the agitation by railway catering staff against denial of employment to them. In a statement here on Friday, the CITU secretariat said that catering staff were on an indefinite fast at the Kottayam, Kozhikode and Palakkad railway stations from December 24 seeking restoration of their employment. The Railway Minister should immediately hold talks with the representatives to bring the agitation to an amicable settlement, the statement added. — Special Correspondent
