Respiratory gated treatment launched

Bangalore: Vydehi Institute of Oncology and Research Centre announced the launch of “Respiratory gated radiation” for treating lung cancer here on Thursday.

According to chairman of the centre D.K. Audikesavulu, the treatment was used on a 55-year-old woman suffering from lung cancer using a sophisticated linear accelerator. — Staff Reporter
