Baroda takes Cooch Behar Trophy
HYDERABAD: Baroda won the Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) cricket tournament with a 28-run win over Punjab here on Friday.
Resuming at its overnight score of 97 for no loss, Punjab was dismissed for 260 in the face of fine bowling by Swapnil Singh (five for 63) and Achyuth Reddy (three for 55).
Dav Whatmore, Director, National Cricket Academy (Operations), gave away the prizes.
The scores: Baroda 215 and 174 bt Punjab 101 and 260 (Kunwar Raina 59, Perri Goel 53, Amitoze Singh 50 not out, Swapnil Singh five for 63, Achyuth Reddy three for 55).
