Rosary in ast four

KOCHI: Goa’s Rosary HSS defeated Thrissur’s Government Model HSS 6-3, via the tiebreaker, and entered the semifinals of the Mar Athanasious Trophy all-India inter-school football tournament at the Municipal Stadium here on Friday.

The teams were level 2-2 at the end of the regulation period with the goals coming from Rosary’s Bradley Rogato (57th minute), Brian Rodrigues (65th) and Thrissur’s Jayan (41st and 70th minutes).

Thursday’s result (pre-quarterfinal): Rosary HSS 3 (Vailancio Peixoto 7th, Iyristen Mories 29th, Brian Rodrigues 53rd) bt Malabar Christian College HSS 1 (Nigil Das 60th). — Principal Correspondent
