Chennai Sangamam events

CHENNAI: The Chennai Sangamam festivities continue at various locations across the city on Saturday.

At the Robinson Park, Royapuram, kadavamuthatam, paraiyattam, kilavan kilavi attam, udukai, naiyandi melam, karakam, madu attam, mannin padalgal, silambattam and kathambu nigalvugal performances would be held between 5 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

Some of these folk art forms would also be performed at the Institute of Road Transport, Taramani, between 4 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. A contemporary classical group dance has also been scheduled at the venue.

At the May Dina Poonga, Chintadripet, the Amarar Thangavelu group would be performing Kanniyan Koothu at 4.30 p.m. and a Tamil light music orchestra would be performing at 6.30 p.m. My Lady’s Poonga, near Nehru Stadium, would see performances of Singara Chendai, Raja Rani Attam and Sounds of the West between 4.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.
