NAC, DRF sign MoU

Hyderabad: The National Academy of Construction (NAC) and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation (DRF) have on Friday entered into an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to train economically backward youth in construction activity.
Beginning January last week, candidates aged between 18 and 25 years from DRF will undergo three month training in various construction courses like general works supervisor, masonry, plumbing and sanitation, electrical, painting and decoration.
According to the MoU, faculty will be provided by NAC to conduct training in addition to syllabus and lesson plans. Also, periodical and final evaluation of the trainees will be done as per NAC norms. Director General of NAC, F.C.S. Peter said that over 1,500 candidates will be trained and placed in construction companies as per the agreement.
