It also announced the roll out of its ‘common rail systems’ (CRS) at the ongoing Auto Expo 2008 here. The ‘common rail system’ is designed to meet stringent the Euro IV and Euro V emission norms while enhancing fuel economy and performance in ‘high speed direct injection’ (HSDI) diesel engines, Delhi-TVS Managing Director T. K. Balaji said at press conference. According to the company’s President J. S. Chopra : “The three new products range is the ‘light duty CRS’ targeted at cars and SUVs, the ‘medium duty CRS’ for commercial vehicles and the UPCR (a unit pump based CRS) specifically designed as a cost effective technology for small engine four and three wheelers.” Delphi-TVS has invested Rs. 50 crore on its technical centre located at Mannur (Chennai). The Rs. 430-crore company has three manufacturing plants located at Mannur and Oragadam near Chennai and at Pant Nagar in Uttarakhand.
