Man held for fratricide

VILLUPURAM: M. Arumugham (35) of Thirumavathur near here succumbed to injuries inflicted by his elder brother M. Sundaramurthy (37) on Friday.

The police have arrested Sundaramurthy.

According to the police, the bullocks owned by Arumguham had strayed into the farm of Sundaramurthy.

An irate Sundaramurthy hit Arumugham with sharp weapons causing bleeding injuries on the head.

Arumugham was admitted to the Villupuram Government Hospital and later referred to Puducherry hospital where he died.
