Staff Reporter

KANCHEEPURAM: Simple and easy-to-implement techniques for achieving higher productivity in agricultural operations were demonstrated to Governor Surjit Singh Barnala by the Agriculture Consultancy Management Foundation (ACMF), Chennai, at a farm in Padappai on Saturday.

The Foundation, which was formed in May 2006, began its activities on a seven-acre plot, leased by the Gemini Agro-tech Educational Foundation at Padappai on the southern outskirts of Chennai. The ACMF started experimenting with corn and sunflower and was able to achieve higher yield, higher seed to plant conversion ratio, decreased input cost, etc.
